WGSS is home to student organizations that include S.P.E.A.K., for graduate students; Faces of Feminism, a student action group; and GSU BlackOUT, for LGBTQIQ students of African descent and their allies.

What do you want to learn?
As an interdisciplinary major, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies offers training in a wide range of feminist methods and perspectives. The WGSS program offers a multicultural, globalized curriculum. You are entering a world and a workforce in which an understanding of diverse people, the nature of globalization and its connections with gender and sexuality will be a tremendous asset. Some examples of these careers include: scholar, medical professional, filmmaker, human resources or compliance officer, public relations expert, editor, publisher, journalist, teacher, professor, activist, non-profit director, lobbyist, policymaker, lawyer, court advocate, child or victim advocate, therapist, counselor, social worker, child care provider, archivist, librarian, politician, community organizer and public health advocate.
