Major

IMG_2887Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies majors take interdisciplinary courses focusing on women, gender, and sexuality. Students concentrate on one of 3 strands: Sexualities, Race and Globalization, or Social Change. WGSS majors must complete Area F requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences and 30 hours of 3000-level and above courses in WGSS. Majors graduate with the B.A. degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Area F

Students must complete 18 hours in Area F in the Arts and Sciences Core, including WGSS 2010, Introduction to Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; a foreign language course at the 1002 level; and enough courses at the 1000 or 2000 level to complete 18 hours. Courses such as AAS 2010, ANTH 2020, POLS 2401, PSYC 2040, SOCI 1101, SOCI 1160, or SPCH 2050 are recommended. See your WGSS advisor for other suggested courses to complete your Area F requirements.
